Making the outdoor advertising market more intelligent

Market intelligence for the built environment.

OOH.Watch brings together fragmented planning, development and location information to help identify emerging opportunities across the outdoor advertising market.

Operational today. The platform is deployed, collects planning data automatically every six hours and is used through a secure, map-based workspace.

The problem

An industry rich in information. Short on intelligence.

Identifying new outdoor advertising opportunities requires bringing together information scattered across planning portals, property records, geographic datasets and commercial market sources.

Much of this research remains fragmented and time-consuming. OOH.Watch is being developed to make that intelligence easier to discover, organise and interpret.

What we've built

From industry knowledge to working software.

The platform is running in production and in use today. Its three core capabilities:

Operational

Discover

Automated identification and organisation of advertising-related planning activity.

  • Collected from official planning data, council open data and council planning systems
  • Rule-based classification of large-format advertising applications
  • Attribution to media owners where the evidence supports it, with confidence recorded
Operational

Map

Geographic analysis and visualisation of potential advertising locations.

  • Interactive map of advertising applications with planning history
  • Traffic counts, public transport and listed-building context around a site
  • Saved sites with private notes and collections
Operational

Monitor

Tracking relevant planning and development activity over time.

  • Planning data refreshed automatically every six hours
  • Applications followed from submission to decision
  • Major development activity across London

Built with Claude

Built with Claude Code. Evolving with Claude.

OOH.Watch was independently conceived, funded and developed by its founder, drawing on professional experience in the outdoor advertising industry.

Without a traditional software engineering background, the founder used Claude Code to turn specialist market knowledge into a functioning software platform: data pipelines, classification and attribution logic, the map-based workspace and the automated tests that keep it reliable.

The next development phase focuses on integrating Claude directly into OOH.Watch's intelligence workflows.

    Claude attribution pipeline

An initial pipeline that uses Claude to resolve ambiguous media-owner attribution, with output validation, usage limits and logging built in. It is not part of the live product today.

Development direction

The next layer of market intelligence.

We're developing capabilities that use Claude to interpret complex information, connect related records and help surface commercially relevant insights from large volumes of fragmented data. The objective is to make specialist market intelligence more accessible, consistent and scalable.

  • Planned

    Intelligent attribution

Evaluate Claude-assisted attribution against reviewed records to improve the identification and classification of potential outdoor advertising locations.

  • Planned

    Document intelligence

Interpret planning documentation and extract relevant information, building on the platform's existing rule-based document parsing.

  • Planned

    Research automation

Support more sophisticated research workflows across property, planning and geographic information.
